Art. 432. Will be punished with imprisonment of one to five years and a fine of fifty thousand sucres, anyone who, consciously, spreads a dangerous or contagious disease to humans.

Art. 432.- Será reprimido con prisión de uno a cinco años y multa de cincuenta a mil sucres, el que propague, a sabiendas, una enfermedad peligrosa o contagiosa para las personas.

 

Ley Para La Prevencion Y Asistencia Integral De VIH/SIDA. No.2000-11. El Congreso Nacional. Article 11.- La persona que conociéndose portadora del VIH/SIDA, porque ha sido notificada e informada, en una forma consciente y voluntaria transmite el VIH a otra persona, con conocimiento de causa, será responsable ante la ley por el daño causado.

Overview

Entry laws

There are no specific entry or residence regulations for people living with HIV and AIDS. Foreigners with a known HIV infection are not subject to specific residence regulations.
Foreign nationals applying for long-term residence must normally present an HIV test result. Foreigners who already have a residence permit and who are diagnosed with AIDS will not be deported or expulsed.
